We are looking for an experience Senior Adviser – Operations, Planning & Performance to leave their mark. This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity until 29 September 2025 and is based in our either Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

The Commission's Economics function has evolved into a centralised operating model, delivering high-quality economic advice and input to our regulatory branches, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and to Commissioners.
In this role, you will lead and support the development and implementation of the Economics Function's strategic framework. You will oversee planning processes, including business plans, budget setting, and responses to Ministerial expectations.
As a key member of the team, you will maintain a comprehensive view of the Economics Function's work, facilitating effective forward-planning and resource allocation. This ensures alignment with objectives and the design and adoption of consistent practices. Leveraging your strong relationship management skills, you will effectively collaborate with teams across the organisation, support the development of engagement strategies, and engage in robust discussions regarding risk, progress, and objectives.
The indicative salary range for this role is $122,320 - $143,905 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.
