We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who is ready to make a lasting impact at the Commission, starting in our Infrastructure Regulation branch. This is a permanent role based in either our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

As an experienced data analyst, you'll champion the development and implementation of data processes within our branch, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams—including those without data expertise. You'll share and refine analytics practices to enhance the integrity and usefulness of both quantitative and qualitative data. In support of your manager, you'll contribute to the branch's data strategy and foundational analytics initiatives, aligning with the expectations of the Commission's Chief Data Officer and the Data Governance model. A key part of your role will be establishing data processes for our new Water function.
The indicative salary range for a Senior Data Analyst is min. $114,327 – Midpoint $134,502 – max. $154,677 plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.

A university degree in an analytical field—such as commerce, statistics, or data management—along with experience in regulation, would be advantageous but is not essential.
